Tote bag

An arctic fox tote bag for the market, errands, and whatever else comes up. It's carried by Otto, a fox in a knit sweater from my Animal Kinhood series, who runs a small seed-and-preserves swap store for the neighbourhood in his building.

The bag from the basement swap

In his story, Otto keeps a nameless storeroom in the basement of his building: wooden shelves, second-hand glass jars, seeds that survive extreme cold. People in the neighbourhood leave something and take something, no charter, no mission, just things passing from hand to hand. A canvas bag suits him exactly for that reason: it's the object of someone who carries things back and forth without making a fuss about it. In the portrait you only see his friendly face; the rest travels inside, unseen.

A fox who pitches in without making a show of it

This bag is built for the daily grind: the market shopping, the fruit, the bread, the jars going back to the basement, whatever comes up. You sling it over your shoulder, you fill it, you empty it, and the next day you do it all again. A calm fox up front, and a whole neighbourhood, invisible, behind him. The rest of his day is on his profile; it doesn't fit on a tote. And if you like how it works, I have the rest of the bags in the collection with other characters from the same family.

§ 07What people ask.08 · about POD
  • Each product is made to order when you place your purchase. There is no pre-made stock or overproduction. A specialised production partner prints, cuts, and prepares it specifically for you.
  • It depends on two things: which piece it is and where it goes. Posters, the mug, the tote and the backpack ship from Europe: 4-7 business days to Europe, 2-4 to the UK, 2-6 to the USA and Canada, 6-22 to the rest of the world. T-shirts and the sweatshirt are made in the United States, so they take considerably longer to reach Europe: 9-25 business days, 7-10 to the UK, 4-10 to the USA and Canada, 5-17 to the rest of the world. Every figure already includes making the piece, since each one is produced when you order it. You will see the exact date for your shipment at checkout.
  • Contact us at mail@yagopartal.com with your order number and clear photos of the damage (include packaging). We will review your case and offer a solution as soon as possible, either replacement or refund.
  • Since products are made on demand, different items may be manufactured at different facilities. Posters, mugs, and backpacks are often shipped separately. Each package has its own tracking number.
  • Yago Partal is a visual artist and photographer from Barcelona known for Zoo Portraits (2013), a project that brought his work to international media. Animal Kinhood is the evolution of that artistic exploration.
  • No. No animals participate in or are harmed during the process. The portraits are created combining photography, illustration, and artificial intelligence. They are fictional characters representing real species with respect and dignity.
  • Wipe with a damp cloth for surface stains. If machine washing is needed, use cold water and a gentle cycle. As synthetic textiles, washing may release microfibres; use a wash bag if possible.
  • The tote bag is 100% spun polyester (225 g/m2) with 67 cm dual cotton denim bull handles. It holds 10 litres and supports up to 20 kg. The fabric carries OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certification.
