Limited edition, numbered, hand-signed.
Every piece ships with a physical certificate, a Verisart record and a C2PA provenance chain + blockchain anchor. The number is assigned by order of release. No carve-outs: when the edition closes, it closes.

A limited edition is only worth as much as its control system. There are no hidden letter editions (AP, EA, HC) that double the run through the back door, no reissues in other sizes that orphan your piece, no reproductions in disguise. The edition is exactly what the certificate says. When it ends, it does not reopen — not under another title either.
§ 04.1 · EditionsFour formats per character. Closed numbers.
Each character that enters limited edition comes in four formats. The quantities are as shown below and are not modified under any circumstance — this is part of the implicit contract with the collector:
Total per character: 85 pieces in circulation (30 + 25 + 20 + 10). Editions come out in drops, one character at a time; not every character gets an edition. Not one more. When a format closes, the COA marks it clearly as «edition closed · N/N» and the closure is published in the Verisart record.
§ 04.2 · CertificateThe physical COA. What it includes.
The certificate of authenticity ships with every piece inside the packaging, in a separate technical envelope. It is a 320 gsm cotton sheet, printed with pigment ink, hand-signed by the artist and sealed by hand with the embossed YP gold monogram.

What you have to check when you receive the piece is five concrete data points: if any of them does not match across the physical piece, the physical COA and the Verisart online record, the piece may not be the one on file, and any discrepancy is resolved by email within 48 hours:
§ 04.3 · ChainProvenance. Five links.
The provenance chain is recorded in Verisart with the C2PA standard + a blockchain anchor. Each step is locked in immutably: if the piece changes hands, the chain follows the object. The secondary buyer inherits the entire certificate — the record is not erased, not rewritten:

Verify a piece in 5 seconds.
Scan the QR on the certificate (or paste the Verisart ID at verisart.com): it takes you to the live record of the piece. If the chain has been altered, the system flags it. We recommend scanning on arrival — even before opening the outer packaging.
§ 04.4 · C2PAThe technical standard. In three sentences.
C2PA is the open provenance standard for digital content driven by Adobe, BBC, Microsoft, Intel and others. The camera signs the file at the source and every editing step is recorded inside the file itself. It is the closest thing we have today to a photographic negative with a chain of custody — only cryptographic, not chemical.
The studio was one of the first European studios to adopt the standard for the entire Animal Kinhood catalog (May 2025). Every digital file leaving the studio carries its C2PA credential — if a media outlet republishes the image and applies filters, the filter is recorded. If anyone tries to pass themselves off as the author, the signature breaks. More technical detail in the studio diary.
The printed work is still defended by paper and signature. But the digital file needed a parent too — and that parent is C2PA.

§ 04.5 · Certificate lifecycleWhat happens after the purchase
The COA is a living object. If the piece changes hands, the chain updates. If the packaging is damaged and you file a claim, it is recorded. If your COA is lost, it is reissued — but the old chain is marked as «replaced», never erased:
Any question about a certificate — yours or one you are buying on the secondary market — gets resolved by email: mail@yagopartal.com. We reply with the full trace within 48 hours. The record always wins.
