What makes Otto special doesn't show in the portrait, but it's behind that calm. In his story he looks after the people in his building through small gestures: he leaves something to eat in someone's locker, he fixes what's broken without saying it was him, he shows up when needed and then leaves. He never says it out loud, because he believes affection spoken aloud loses its truth. Wearing this fox is wearing that way of being: present, without showing off.

On the T-shirt there's only the bust, facing forward, in his usual clothes. I created it clean and without a background: it reads at a glance and holds up to everyday wear. It works because it has real character, a fox who's likeable from the start, one nothing seems to rattle. As a gift it fits easily, for someone calm by nature who appreciates things done well.
