Note from the studio.
An edition is the decision of how many copies of something will exist, taken before the first one is printed. Thirty-five for the Black 30 × 40, twenty-five for the 60 × 80, twenty for the XL 80 × 80, ten for the XL 120 × 120. The number is the number.
Even if the piece sells better than expected, even if I could sell more with a run twice the size, the number does not move. Each copy is printed at WhiteWall Frechen on the materials each format calls for — Hahnemühle Photo Rag for the Black with Hamburg frame, Fuji Crystal Archive DP II + Diasec for the XL — hand-signed at my Barcelona studio, and recorded across three independent layers.
When the last copy leaves the pool, the edition is closed.
