The Wolf of Eureka
In his story, near a remote station, while checking a camera, a wild arctic wolf appeared to Benjamin twenty meters away. White, still, looking straight at him. He didn't move either, and it wasn't out of fear. The wolf caught his scent from where it stood, tilted its head and went on its way, neither approaching nor fleeing. When he was alone again, he sat in the snow for a while. Then he recorded a fifteen-second message for a friend: "I saw a wolf. I didn't scare it." Nothing else.
