He Cares Without Making a Show of It
In his story, Benjamin looks after his people without saying a word. He starts the generator before anyone gets up, so there's hot coffee ready. He leaves the best portion for whoever arrives last. He teaches newcomers without even realizing it: where not to step, how to start an engine at forty below. What he's worst at is the opposite, letting himself be looked after; he grumbles quietly and goes along with it, a little reluctantly. He's one of those who love through actions, not speeches.
