Kids t-shirt
For the little ones, a kids' arctic wolf t-shirt with Benjamin's face front-on: white fur, rounded ears, amber eyes. He's a character from my Animal Kinhood series.

High Arctic tundra, exclusively north of the tree line: Queen Elizabeth Archipelago (Ellesmere, Axel Heiberg, Devon, Ellef Ringnes) in Canada and northern Greenland. A landscape of permanent permafrost without tree cover, with temperatures that swing between -50 °C in winter and 5-10 °C in the brief Arctic summer.
In his story, at sixteen, Benjamin tagged along with a technician who'd come to fix a weather station. He spent three days watching him work: measuring, soldering, cleaning some panels, downloading data. He barely spoke; he just watched. When he got home he said four words to his mother: "I want to do that." And he did. Sometimes an entire calling fits into three days of watching closely someone who knows what they're doing. It's a nice story to wear as a kid.
Kids who take things apart to see how they work on the inside are a little like Benjamin as a kid.
