What looks like an absence of pattern is the pattern itself. Grazing light brings it back to the surface.
The species with the greatest habitat plasticity among the big cats: humid tropical forests in Malaysia and Borneo, African savannas, Caucasus scrubland, Himalayan slopes up to 5,200 m altitude and the peri-urban edges of Mumbai and Nairobi. Melanistic leopards concentrate in tropical forests with dense canopy.
It works because it's not about a joke. César is a calm cat who doesn't rattle over anything, and that wears well almost any day. In his story he speaks only when needed, tells the truth about what's in front of him even if it costs him the job, and never raises his voice. That way of being — calm, composed — is what you put on your chest. No slogan; just a creature you take a liking to right away.
A detail you won't see on the T-shirt but that changes how you look at it: that gold chain, César made it himself, at fifteen, with the last gold his father left him. It was his first finished piece, and he's worn it around his neck ever since, day and night. In the portrait there's only the bust and the gleam of gold against the black; where that gleam came from, I'll leave for his biography. As a gift for a man it's an easy fit: someone with character, no complications.
