The Email That Stays Unopened
In his story, a dealer from Singapore wrote to him that his work was art, not craft, and offered him galleries, art fairs, and prices in a whole different league. César read the email three times and marked it as unread again. It's not that he isn't interested: saying yes would mean stopping being what he is, and he doesn't know how to do that. Months later, he still hasn't replied, at ease, knowing exactly where he feels at home. That quiet certainty belongs to him more than any display case ever could.
