Unisex sweatshirt
A lemur who brings down the volume of an argument without shouting, just by measuring and taking notes: that's what you're wearing in this lemur hoodie. It's Wesley, facing forward in a camel coat and blue shirt, from my Animal Kinhood series, for the long days.

Endemic to southern and south-western Madagascar; inhabits spiny forests, gallery forests, dry scrub and deciduous woodland. Its range runs from Tolagnaro in the south-east to Morondava on the west coast, with inland populations in Ambalavao and the Réserve d'Anja.
Two families have spent months arguing over a boundary, neither one willing to give ground. Wesley lays out the land survey in front of both parties, in full daylight. One of them points to a line; he doesn't say "you're lying" — he says that line isn't on the map, and that they can look at it together. Three hours later, they sign. The map doesn't know whose plot it is: it only says where the line is, and that's enough for nobody to have to shout.
The portrait only shows his calm, forward-facing face; I'll tell you the rest separately. I created it looking straight ahead, clean against the background: on the hoodie it reads from a distance. It's built for the real hours: the cold morning, the office, the courtyard, the meeting that runs long. A calm lemur on the front, the kind that never gets rattled.
