Urban portraits

In 2011 I took my camera, a flash, a white background and with the help of a friend I took to the street to photograph passersby walking by the various points where we placed ourselves to assault them. When you are approached on the street to ask for a photograph with no other intention than an artistic exercise, it is easy to end up unintentionally portrayed in the worst conditions. Or in this case, expressions.

That was the intention of this series: to capture the bewildered nature of the people portrayed, without giving them much time to think about what they were doing or what pose to strike. And with that to create a kind of landscape of different faces that inhabit my city.

As has happened to me so many other times, I soon got bored of going out on the street. I no longer found it interesting. These are some of the portraits that remained from that.
