For the music video of The Birkins, we decided to do a theatrical version of Beauty and the Beast. For this we had the help of Carles Piera, who built a hexagonal stage with translucent walls and a throne, to create the theatricality and the environment of the video. We decided to shoot it in black and white to give weight to the contrast between the characters and the atmosphere. I often wonder how this video would have been shot with a bigger budget and a good camera, since we did it all with hardly any money and with my Canon 5D.
