mAmUmO

The mAmUmO series of images is not a creative project per se. For a while, I was bothered by the fact that in social networks, and in society in general, there were topics that were taboo, weird or “ugly” and that I have always felt needed to be normalized, talked about and exposed. It was “forbidden” to deal with certain subjects, especially in a visual way. This series of images, featured on an Instagram account, represented just that. Scenes that played with visual coherence by introducing things that could generate rejection and above all strangeness, often at the limit of what Instagram allowed.

The truth is that it was not something very meditated, and through photomontages and very fast filters many images were emerging, and I posted them without giving them too much thought. For me it was a simple exercise in bordering on censorship. These are just some of them, the less provocative ones.
